INDICATIONS:
Vasaka: In acute stages of bronchitis it gives unfailing relief especially where the sputum is thick and sticky. It liquefies the sputum so that it is brought up more easily. For relief in asthma.
Kantkari: It is used in sore throat. Expectorant in asthma and cough and pain in chest. Carminative and are prescribed for relief in burning sensation in the feet.
Yashtimadhu: It is mainly used as an expectorant and antitussive agent. It has shown anti-inflammatory activity and for treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers.
Tulsi: It is an effective diaphoretic and febrifuge in most colds, flus and lung problems. It removes excess cough from the lungs and nasal passages, promoting sensory acuity.
Sunthi: It is Carminative and stimulant to the gastrointestinal tract. its help in case of indigestion and nausea.
Bibhitak: The drug has bronchodilatory, antispasmodic, antiphlegmatic, expectorant and sedative activities
Pipli: it is a longevity enhancer. It also cleans the shrotas that transport nutrients and remove wastes, so it is considered important for purification. It balances two of the three laws of nature at work in the mind and body. It also soothes the nerves to improve the quality of sleep at night
Dalchini: It is astringents, stimulants, and carminatives. They are also used to rheumatism, colic, and diarrhea.
Phudina: Diaphoretic, aromatic, carminative, chologogue (stimulates flow of bile), stomachic, calmative, mild alterative, stimulant, rubefacient, nervine, analgesic
Baheda: medicine for stomach disorders, insomnia, high blood pressure, headache, diabetes, ulcer, etc.
Eliachi: It is stimulants, and carminatives.
Draksha: Draksha has traditionally been used to improve digestion and enhance energy, increasing the utilization of nutrients by the body. Draksha is an herbal liquid tonic.
Haridra: It has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic activity. It helps in faster wound healing and has blood-purifying properties. It also acts as a carminative, stomachic, appetizer and tonic.
Menthol: It is used in products meant to relieve sore throat, or nasal congestion.
Honey: It is often taken orally by pharyngitis and laryngitis sufferers, in order to soothe them.
RONTUSSIN is free from side effects and drowsiness.
Dosage:
For Child : 1 teaspoonful twice daily or as directed by physician.
For Adult : 2 teaspoonful twice daily or as directed by physician.
